    Hi Katie,
    I have to start out by saying just how fun this blog post was to scroll through. Your meme usage is always top notch and reflective of your playful/humorous voice! You mention in your first award for professionalism that you didn't think that your posts were particularly professional, but I would have to slightly disagree because I think that incorporating your own "flair" through humor, while also staying on track with the prompts every week, shows a level of commitment to blogging that is professional in its own right! Blogging is a unique form of writing that gives us the space to play with our voice and expression, and I think that you took full advantage of this! :)

    Hey Katie! You, Paul, and I all said our first post was the most professional. I can almost feel each of us in like a straight jacket, trying to present our most professional selves in the beginning and then slowly unraveling until we're all "Here I am world! I'm fun but I'll teach you something too!" Thank you for sticking to your authentic self during our blogging journey. It's genuine and fun and the students are going to love it.

    Blogging allowed a voice from you to come out that I don't think the class would have seen if it were on a canvas page. Thanks for being entertainment during these past weeks and being able to hear a different type of voice amongst all the professional writings I have to read for classes.

ANNOTATED IMAGE     For this project, I decided to do an annotated image. I felt that this was the most appropriate because the students will be reading a graphic novel, and they probably won’t know certain graphic novel terms that are important or what to look for when they’re annotating. I chose this image specifically because it also has some things that can be annotated based on the lens the students would be using for this unit (which is gender/gender norms ), and it has a few good examples of graphic novel vocabulary words I would want students to know. To differentiate the two different reasons for annotating, I have added two different types of clickable points. The blue circles are showing what to look for/how to annotate for gender norms within the story.   INTRODUCTION Hello! Welcome to my third blog post!  I’ve decided that my imaginary class that I would be teaching these texts in would be a Film and Literature Class. It would be an elective that’s only available to upperclassmen in high school. As for how the texts would all work together, I would have different units that cover different “lenses” in this class. For example, in the gender lens unit, students would analyze different gender norms, tropes, etc. in the movies/books that we read. In this class, I would be focusing on three lenses: race, gender, and mental health.  **Also, I would have students all get permission slips filled out by parents/guardians in the beginning of the semester because some of the movies are rated ‘R’ and I wouldn’t want that to be an issue halfway through the semester.
